Kargil Vijay Diwas Celebration

St Mary’s NCC Naval Unit celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas on July 28,2022 to honor the sacrifices made by Indian Army during 1999 Kargil war. PO (GW) Gangadhar and PO(GW) Deepak Sharma from 6 KAR NCC NAVAL UNIT, UDUPI were the Guests of honour. On addressing the young Cadets PO(GW) Gangadhar quoted that the youth of the country today have diverse opportunities in defence and the exposure to NCC will make them Gentlemen Cadets. Rev Fr. Johnson Sequeira on his presidential address urged the young NCC Cadets of St Mary’s Naval Unit to grab every opportunity of Nation serving and to be responsible citizens by prioritising the welfare of the Nation. ANO Mr Lancy Mendonca extended the note of welcome with introductory remarks. L. Cdt Dishen Poojary proposed the vote of thanks.The program was anchored by Cdt Alisha.Vice Principal Ms Rita Quadros was present on the occasion.
