On the occasion of celebrating 130th birthday of Dr. S.R Ranganathan who is the father of Library and Information Science, St Mary’s English Medium School Observed National Library week from 9th to 14th August 2021. In the wake of Covid pandemic school had arranged an array of various competitions for children on virtual platform.
The Competitions were divided into 6 categories
Category 1: Grade 1 and 2 - Story telling.
Category 2: Grade 3 and 4 - Listening to the story and answering the questions.
Category 3: Grade 5 and 6 - A news paper is the world’s mirror (Newspaper reading)
Category 4: Grade 7 and 8 - Collage making on “Covid “
Category 5: Grade 9 and 10 - Essay writing on “The impact of Covid on reading habits of students “
Category 6: Grade 11 and 12 - Book review
Students from grade 1 to 12 enthusiastically participated in the competitions. The competitions were conducted by the School librarian Mr. Renold under the guidance of Principal Rv. Fr. Johnson Sequiera, Vice Principal Mrs. Rita Quadrous and other teachers.
