ENGLISH WEEK CELEBRATION

English language week in the first week of August. The objective of this celebration was to sharpen the speaking, reading, writing and listening skills of students and to develop in them a profound passion towards English literature. Various activities like Handwriting, Poem Recitation, Word building, Pick and speak, Word Grid, Composing poem, Composing jingles related the Parts of the Speech, Performing Advertisements, Essay writing and Elocution were conducted for the students from Grade 1 to 12. Students in large number actively participated and showcased their creativity. The English week finale was held on August 6, 2022 in St Mary’s Auditorium at 10:35 am. Ms Sweeta Rego extended the note of welcome. Shivani of grade 7 spoke on the importance of the English language week. Chief Guest Ms Eunice Anchan in her address emphasized the importance of the English language and also shared her insights on how to improve the linguistic skills of students. The winners of various literary competitions performed their talents on the stage. A skit on the classic fairy tale story of Cinderella was enacted by the students of Secondary section . Principal Rev.Fr Johnson Sequeira in his Presidential speech highlighted the importance of developing the reading habits. The prize winners of various competitions were honored by the Principal. Ms Manjula Blazo proposed the Vote of thanks.Leon Mathias of Grade 10 anchored the program.
