The Martyrs Day was observed at St Mary's English Medium School, Kannarpady in the proud memory of martyred freedom fighters and the brave soldiers of our nation. Principal, Vice Principal, Staff coordinators and student representatives offered floral tributes to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi. Mr Renold J Suchitha , the librarian spoke on the significance of the day. Vidya Nayak of grade 10 elaborated the life and ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. Principal Rev.Fr Johnson Sequeira in his presidential address offered grateful salutes to the invaluable service of the great freedom fighters, soldiers and police personnel who sacrificed their lives for the safety, security and the well-being of the nation.He appealed students to fulfill their duties towards the nation by fighting the social evils and being productive contributors . The members of teachers' choir Mrs Divya Ganesh, Mrs Amrutha Shetty and Mrs Sweeni D'Silva recited few thematic bhajans signifying the message of communal harmony and patriotism. The students of Grade 10 & 12 took part in the observation.
Mrs Helen Carnelio conferred the program. The observation was concluded with National Anthem.
