Patron’s Day Celebration

Mother Mary's birthday was celebrated as Patron's Day on September 7, 2022.Principal Rev.Fr Johnson Sequeira extended the words of welcome with introductory remarks.Ms Wilma Nazareth briefed the history and the tradition of Novena and Nativity.

Students performed a skit depicting the various titles of Mother Mary based on the Biblical narrations.Later Students' choir sang various hymns ennobling the life and values of Mother Mary.A folk dance amplifying the joy of harvesting season was also presented by the students.The formal stage program commenced by paying floral offerings to Patron Mother Mary.The dignitaries on the stage were traditionally welcomed with Sugarcane.

Later the new edition of the School annual magazine 'Marian Panorama' was uniquely released by blooming it from a giant lotus. Ms Linet Castelino ,the Chief editor of the Magazine briefed the theme, making and other highlights of the 2021 edition of 'Marian Panorama'. The Chief Guest of the program Rev.Fr Cyril Lobo,the Director of Divya Jyothi, Udupi Diocese in his speech explicated the glory of mother hood through songs and literary anecdotes. Correspondent V.Rev.Fr Charles Menezes in his presidential address advised students and staff to assimilate the values of kindness, selflessness and service from the life of Mother Mary.

The winners of various literary and art competitions conducted on the occasion of Patron's Day were recognised and lauded.The staff who contributed donations towards the sweets and other expenses of Novena were also felicitated by the Correspondent.The program was coordinated by Vice Principal Ms Rita Quadros.Head Girl Samantha and Head Boy Nidheesh were present on the stage. Ms Preemal and Ms Lavita anchored the program.Ms Shruthi coordinated the literally and art competitions. Ms Alona extended the words of gratitude.
