72nd Republic Day celebration at St Mary's, Kannarpady.


72nd Republic Day was celebrated uniquely at St.Marys this year.Ms Meghana Saldhana, the proud alumna of St Mary's , currently Lecturer at St Aloysius , Mangalore was the chief guest.Adressing the gathering she highlighted the prime role of school in nurturing the sound citizenship values among the young learners. Correspondent V.Rev.Fr Charles Menezes along with chief guest and the members of School Management Committee hoisted the tricolor. National Anthem and Dwajageeth were sung by teacher's choir. Correspondent in his presidential message appealed students to enhance the greatness of our nation by fulfilling the fundamental duties and being the torch bearers of progressive India.Dignitaries offered floral tribute to the portrait of Dr.B.R.Ambedkar, one of the architect of Indian Constitution.Teachers choir presented a bunch of patriotic songs signifying the values of unity and integrity.

The members of school Management Committee Mr Irvin Alva, Mrs Benedicta Fernandes, Dr Hermon D'souza, Mrs Janet D'Souza,Mr Maxim D'Souza, Mr Walter D'Souza were present on the occasion.The celebration was conceptualized under the guidance of Principal Rev.Fr Jhonson Sequiera and coordinated by Vice Principal Mrs Rita Quadros.

Mrs Veena Maykar compered the program; Mrs Sweeni D'Souza presented welcome speech and Mrs Sushmitha Shetty extended the words of gratitude.
