St Mary's Annual Sports Meet-23

The inauguration of St Mary's Annual Sports Meet-23 was held on November 3,2023.Physical Education Instructor Mr Gerald Pinto presented the welcome address and introduced the Chief Guest. The formal program commenced with the hoisting of School flag by Correspondent V.Rev.Fr Charles Menezes.It was followed by Platoon inspection by the dignitaries.The four houses of the school Synergy, Melody, Elegancy and Serenity along with Teachers' platoon conducted a well synchronised and disciplined March past.Chief Guest of the inaugural ceremony Mr Clifford Lobo, District Forest officer, Kundapur received the Guard of honor.Chief Guest in his speech highlighted the vital role of sports and games in shaping the allround personality of students.

The mass drill performed by 700 plus students and a unique ring exercise displayed by the students of grade 4 were real feast to the eyes.The sports flame of St Mary's was lit and the torch was taken in a relay by the sports achievers of the school Princen, Kaushil, Pradhan, Kaushil, Harshil, Ceone, Avya and Akash.Chief Guest officially announced the opening of the Annual sports meet-2023 and the dignitaries released the tricolor balloons to mark the spirit of National integrity. The sports leader of school council Prarthana administered the sports oath to all the participants.The Correspondent V.Rev.Fr Charles Menezes in his presidential address blessed the event and extended his good wishes to all the participants.Physical Education teacher Ms Renuka extended the words of gratitude.

Principal Rev.Fr Johnson Sequeira, Vice Principal Ms Rita Quadros, The members of School Management Committee -Mr Maxim D'Souza, Col Dr Arthur Rodriguez, Ms Benedicta Fernandes,Rev. Fr Roy Lobo, Rev.Fr William Martis were present on the occasion.Ms Usha Hegde and Mr Glen anchored the event.Parents and alumni in large number visited the sports meet.

The Valedictory ceremony was held at 3.30 pm.Chief Guest Miss Ancila Saldhana, Data analyst,Kapture CX Bangalore and the Alumnus of the school congratulated the young sports men for upholding sportsmanship. The individual championships were awarded by the Correspondent . The Chief Guest declared the closure of the Annual Sports meet 2023 and the sports flame was extinguished. Mis Amitha presented welcome note and Ms Dorothy proposed the vote of thanks.
