Art Integrated Learning Showcase

St. Mary's English Medium School, Kannarpady, Udupi, organized a vibrant Art Integrated Learning Presentation and Exhibition on the comparative study of paired states Karnataka and Ladakh under CBSE's Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme on October 27, 2026.

The programme was organized for students of Classes 1 to 10 with the main objectives of fostering national integration, promoting respect for diverse cultures, integrating art with regular learning, developing creativity and aesthetic sense, and providing experiential learning about the heritage of both states. A wide range of artistic and cultural activities were presented and exhibited by the students. The major attractions were collage making on traditional festivals, eco-friendly handicraft making, crafting of traditional ornaments, 3D model presentation on traditional games, Rangoli and Ladakhi Mandal art, cooking without fire on traditional dishes, and comparative project making.

The entire school was transformed into a cultural gallery.The students explained the cultural significance of their work with great confidence. The Principal Rev. Fr Vijay Joyson D'souza appreciated the efforts of the students and staff and stated that the activity truly reflected the spirit of Unity in Diversity. The exhibition was visited by teachers and students and was a grand success.
