Correspondent's Birthday

25th October, 2021, Monday was a blissful and cheerful day in St May's English Medium School(CBSE), Kannarpady, Udupi as it was the birthday of Rev Fr Charles Menezes - the Correspondent of St Mary's Educational Institutions, Udupi.

The celebration started at 11 am in St Mary's Auditorium by invoking blessings of god in a special way with the prayer session which was conducted by the teacher representatives and almighty was thanked for the gift of Rev Fr Charles Menezes to this earth, especially to the St Mary's Family. The birthday celebrant and the gathering was greeted with a beautiful welcome dance by the higher primary students. The formal function started and the gathering was welcomed by the school headgirl - Ms Sidra Arif. Mr Vinay Suvarna then expressed words of felicitation on behalf of the school. Thejoyous celebration became more joyous as correspondent's mother - Mary Menezes and brother - Jacob Menezes gave a surprise visit to Fr Charles Menezes.

The special person of the day cut the birthday cake with the students. The student representatives from each class, section wise teacher co-ordinators and non-teaching staff representatives offered a floral wish to the correspondent. Principal and Vice principal felicitated the correspondent florally. Correspondent verbalized his happiness on this occasion. He said, it's a special and a surprise celebration for him and thanked each and every one present there for their love and respect towards him. After which students of higher primary sang a beautiful wishing song, College children created a party scenario with their beautiful energetic dance and beat box.

Master Shawn Fernandes rendered words of gratitude. Miss Ananya Rao of 10th co-ordinated the programme very well. The whole programme changed the school environment completely to a celebration mode. The school management committee members witnessed the jubilant Occasion. Fr Johnson Sequeira, Principal of the school systematically organized the event by providing all the required guidance and reinforcement. Vice Principal Mrs Rita Quadros rendered her support in the execution of this ecstatic celebration.
