Kindergarten- Pencil Day

On a bright and cheerful morning, St Mary's Kindergarteners buzzed with giggles, as they celebrated the much-awaited My First Pencil Day on 10 July 2025 at Fr J P Tauro hall at 09:00 a.m.

The day began with a melodious prayer song by Upper Kindergarten students. To mark the beginning of the Pencil Day celebration, the tiny tots of L KG eagerly held their pencils high with pride. Representatives with the help of their teachers gently placed their pencils down on the chart, symbolizing the official inauguration of the event and they expressed their happiness through an action song with curious little eyes wide open and tiny fingers proudly holding their colourful pencils.

Ms Savitha explained about the importance of the pencil, eraser and sharpener. The pencil is a tiny tool with mighty potential, the Principal Rev Fr Vijay Dsouza addressed the students and inspired the young learners and offered warm wishes for their journey ahead.The event was hosted by Ms Renita D Almeida. The Pencil Day celebration helped students understand the importance of the pencil in learning and expression.
