Inauguration-Ruby Jubilee Year

The inauguration of the Ruby Jubilee Year was held on June 15, 2023 at St Mary's Auditorium. Most. Rev.Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza, Bishop, Emeritus , Diocese of Mangalore was the Chief Guest. Mr Yashpal Suvarna,MLA,Udupi constituency and Alumnus of school; Mr Chandre Gowda, BEO, Udupi and Msgr Ferdinand Gonsalves, Vicar General& Vice President of CESU were the Guests of Honour. V.Rev.Charles Menezes,the Correspondent welcomed the gathering.The Chief Guest and the Guests of Honour were felicitated by the dignitaries.The Logo, Ceremonial Shawl and Jersey designed for Ruby Jubilee year were released by the dignitaries.Principal Rev.Fr Johnson Sequeira briefed the scheduled activities and the programs of Ruby Jubilee year 2023. V.Rev.Fr Valerian Mendonca was honored for composing the Jubilee Anthem. The Anthem was later sung by students' choir. The special edition of school magazine 'Marian Panorama' was released on this occasion. Ms Amratha was felicitated for composing the welcome song.

Ms Linet , Mr Walter and Mr Jagadeesh were felicitated for designing the logo of Ruby Jubilee.Ms Shilpa Cutinha, the singer and the musician of the welcome dance song, Ms Shruthi the choreographer of welcome dance and Mr Roshan the choreographer of contemporary dance were recognized by the dignitaries. Mr Maxim D'Souza and Col.Dr Arthur Rodrigues respectively the Vice President and the Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council, Mother of Sorrows Church, Udupi ; Head Boy Mohammed Saad Habeeb and Head Girl K Surabhi Rao were present on the stage. Vice Principal Ms Rita Quadros proposed the vote of thanks. Mr Lancy Mendonca and Ms Cybil Soans anchored the program. Students of Grade 8 and 9 performed a contemporary dance depicting the vital role of parents and teachers in shaping the lives of students.
