SAMSKRITHI SAMPADA –ST MARY’S FOLK MUSEUM

Nestled within the school premises, 'Samskriti Sampada', the newly established folk museum, stands as a testament to the rich cultural legacy of coastal Karnataka. Established in 2024, this initiative aims to preserve and celebrate the vibrant heritage of our folk culture. This museum serves as a valuable addition to our school's educational resources, allowing us to appreciate the past, refine the present, and shape the future. The museum showcases the remarkable historical contributions of our ancestors to science, technology, art, and lifestyle, highlighting their inestimable wisdom and expertise.

Conceived by our Principal, Rev. Fr. Vijay Joyson D'Souza, the museum seamlessly blends cultural values with core virtues of the school curriculum. The creative genius behind the museum's breathtaking décor is Mr. N Jagadeesha Acharya, our art teacher, whose masterful touch has transformed the space into a mesmerizing atmosphere of art, elegance, and beauty.

With over 2000 unique artifacts, this pioneering folk museum at the school level has been made possible by the benevolent contributions of parents and well-wishers who have generously donated historically valuable antiques and artifacts.

The museum is open to the public on prior request. St Mary's heartily welcomes students and heritage enthusiasts who wish to revisit the glimpses of our glorious past. We invite you to join hands with us through your thoughts, ideas, and contributions to connect young learners with India's noble heritage and instill a sense of pride in its rich cultural glory.
