'Family Day'-the valedictory program of 'Symphony'-St Mary's Teacher's club was held on April 13, 2024. The Principal Rev.Fr Johnson L Sequeira in his welcome speech briefed how 'Symphony' transformed the personality of the staff and helped them to grow better individuals.Ms Laveena,the Secretary of the club presented the minutes of the previous club.Mr Glen, the treasurer presented the financial report of the year 2023-24.Ms Pushpalatha, the senior Science teacher of the school was felicitated by the school Management on the occasion of her voluntary retirement.She was honored with shawl, citation, garland, fruit bowl, memento and gifts. Ms Linet Castelino read the certificate of appreciation.Ms Pushpalatha in her acceptance speech gratefully acknowledged the school for providing creative opportunities to grow and serve. Ms Saguna and Ms Dapsy Vaz shared their experiences of Symphony club activities. Few fun games were conducted for the club members and the dignitaries under the leadership of Ms Preemal, Ms Venilda and Mr Lancy Mendonca.Teachers presented group songs and a dance during the entertainment session. A short video documentary featuring the sweet memories of Rev.Fr Johnson Sequeira's 5 years of incredible principalship was screened by Mr Lancy Mendoca.Ms Eunice Anchan presented the farewell speech to the Principal on behalf of 'Symphony' club members highlighting his indelible marks in the progress and the success of the institution.Principal was felicitated by the Correspondent and the representatives of the school Management with shawl, bouquet, garland, citation, gift and memento.Mr Vinaya Suvarna read the certificate of appreciation. Correspondent V.Rev.Fr Charles Menezes in his Presidential address appreciated the fruitful events and programs undertaken under the banner of 'Symphony' for the personality growth of teachers. He applauded the Principal for his matchless leadership quality characterized by devoted service, cheerfulness, adoptability, sensitivity and progressive outlook.
The program was coordinated by the Vice Principal Ms Rita Quadros.Mr Maxim D'Souza, Col Dr Arthur Rodrigues and Rev.Fr Vijay D'Souza graced the ocassion. The family members of Ms Pushpalatha were present on the ocassion. Ms Alita proposed the vote of thanks. The dignitaries and the members of symphony took part in the fellowship meal after the formal program.
