Celebration of International Women's Day’

The celebration of International Women's Day was held on March 9, 2026, at SMES, Kannarpady. The event was thoughtfully organized by the men staff of the school, making it a truly special occasion. The women staff were given a warm floral welcome to the auditorium, setting the tone for a day of appreciation and celebration.

The formal program began with a melodious prayer by the men's choir, filling the auditorium with a sense of serenity. Ms. Renuka Acharya, the Physical Education Instructor, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Vice Principal Ms. Rita Quadros and staff coordinators were also present on stage, adding to the festive atmosphere.

In his introductory remarks, Principal Rev. Fr. Vijay Joyson D'Souza expressed heartfelt appreciation for the women staff, highlighting their passionate service, positive outlook and service mindedness. The men staff presented a special wishing song, followed by a variety of fun games that brought smiles and laughter to the women colleagues.

As a token of love and gratitude, mementos and gifts were presented to the women staff, making the occasion even more memorable. The event concluded on a sweet note, with sweets and juice being served to all. Mr. Glen Veigas anchored the program with charm and enthusiasm.
