Annual Day Celebration of G3 to G6

The students of Grade 3, 5, and 6 of Saint Mary’s English Medium School, Kannarpady celebrated their Annual Day on November 21, 2025, at St. Mary’s Auditorium at 3:30 a.m. The formal compering of the programme was carried out by Master Daivik Kotian and Mehek Fathima of Grade 6. The event began with a warm welcome address by Ms. Laveena. This was followed by the presentation of the school’s Annual Report by the Principal, Rev. Fr. Vijay Dsouza, who highlighted the institution’s academic achievements, co-curricular progress, sports accomplishments, and the various milestones achieved during the academic year.

Ms. Roopa K.S introduced the Chief Guest, Rev. Dr. Praveen Martis, and highlighted his notable achievements. The Chief Guest was then felicitated for his distinguished contributions. In his inspiring address, Rev. Dr. Praveen Martis emphasized the importance of nurturing children to become compassionate and responsible citizens. He underlined the vital role of parents in guiding their children and expressed deep appreciation for the dedicated efforts of the teachers in preparing the students for the event.

The Correspondent, V. Rev. Fr. Charles Menezes, delivered the presidential address, expressing gratitude to the parents for their continued support and encouragement in all school activities. He spoke about the overall development of the students and reaffirmed the school’s mission of fostering their growth. The programme was graced by the presence of The Secretary, Col. Dr. Arthur Rodrigues; The Vice President, Mr. Maxim D’Souza; The Correspondent, V. Rev. Fr. Charles Menezes; Rev. Fr. Vijay Joyson D’Souza, the Principal; and Ms. Rita Quadros, the Vice Principal and the Managing Committee members. Ms. Dorthy Pinto delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the event. Cultural Programme

The cultural segment was led by Master Sagar Nayak and Charvi from Grade 6. The performances began with a graceful classical welcome dance, followed by a sequence of vibrant presentations by students of Grades 5 and 6. Students of Grades 3, 5, and 6 presented a variety of themes, including: • Rang Lo • Kalisu Gurve Kalisu • Mobile – A Modern Reflection • Say No to Plastic • Nation United as Brothers and Sisters • Save Trees • Konkani Song – filled with warmth and love for Mangaluru • Social Media – A Silent Story (Mime) • Gujarati Folk Dance • Save the Sea – Protect Water Creatures • Paryavaran • Tribute to Bharat Mata The cultural programme concluded with the School Anthem. The parents applauded the confidence, grace, and artistry displayed by the children, making the event a memorable and heart-warming celebration.
