'ISHKA' Eye Check-up Camp

Eye checkup camp 'Ishka' organised on the occasion of school's Ruby Jubilee celebration was inaugurated on July18, 2023 at FrJ P Tauro Memorial hall. This health initiative is launched in collaboration with Rotary club,Udupi. The week long camp was inaugurated creatively by unveiling an animated icon symbolising the motto of the camp.Rtn Ms Deepa Bhandary, President,Rotary club , Udupi was the Chief Guest of the program.Adressing the students she elaborated the role of Rotary club in community service programs. She also stressed the need of early diagnosis of eye diseases and vision disorders among school children to avoid the severity of the problem in future.Principal Rev.Fr Johnson Sequeira in his Presidential address explicated the vision of the program. Col Dr Arthur Rodrigues, Secretary, Parish Pastoral Council,Mother of Sorrows church,Udupi graced the ocassion. The incharge of this Eye checkup camp Dr Sharath Sherigar and Dr S Davamathi from Dept of Optometry ,KMC Manipal were present on the stage. Ms Sushmitha Shetty extended the words of gratitude.Ms Roopa K S anchored the program. All the students and the staff of St Mary's will undergo free eye checkup during this camp.
