Grandparents’ Day Celebration

The play school and kindergarten students of St Mary's English Medium School celebrated Grandparents’ Day with great enthusiasm on July 30, 2024 at JP Tauro Hall.

The program commenced with a prayer dance by Play school and LKG students followed by welcome speech by shayan shetty and Snigdha Acharya of UKG. Thereafter special Action song was performed by Play school kids for the grandparents. UKG kids briefed about the importance of the day. A dramatic dance was presented by Play school and kindergarten kids.Few interesting recreational games were conducted for the grandparents and the prize winners were rewarded. The oldest married couple of the day were felicitated by the dignitaries.Chief Guest of the day Rev. Fr. Cyril Lobo was felicitated for his commendable contribution in the field of music.In his speech Fr Cyril Lobo enlightened the audience on the importance of grandparents in family and their priceless contributions in the socialization of grandchildren. Correspondent V. Rev. Fr Charles Menezes in his presidential address elaborated the importance of teachers, parents and grandparents in the life of the young children. Correspondent V.Rev Fr. Charles menzes, Principal Rev Fr. Vijay Dsouza, Vice principal Ms. Rita Quadros and kindergarten Coordinator Ms Dapsy Vaz were the dignitaries on the stage. Ms Dapsy Vaz introduced the chief guest. Charvish H Amin and Gianna Kezia Lewis of UKG extended vote of thanks. Ms. Rajashree Nayak and Ms. Nazia Banu were the anchors of the program.The program ended with National anthem followed by the refreshments. In all it was a delight to see the grandparents and children enjoying their time together.
