Grandparents’ Day Celebration 2026

St. Mary’s English Medium School celebrated Grandparents’ Day on August 22, 2026 with great joy and enthusiasm at St. Mary’s Auditorium at 9:00 a.m. The programme was a beautiful celebration of the special bond between grandparents and grandchildren.

The programme began with a prayer, followed by the Welcome Address by Athulit and Amana. The importance and significance of Grandparents’ Day were beautifully presented by Rihaan, Samruddhi, Aarav and Marissa. The students presented Action Dance, Dramatic Dance and Retro Dance adding colour and joy to the celebration. The teachers presented a heartfelt Wishing Song.An enthusiastic Wedding Attire Ramp Walk by the grandparents was feast to eyes. Ms. Dapsy Vaz, coordinator, Kindergarten section introduced the Chief Guest, Dr. Sanyo D’Souza, who was felicitated as a mark of honour and respect. The Chief Guest shared an inspiring message and also gave valuable health tips to the grandparents and the audience, highlighting the importance of maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. The Correspondent, Very. Rev. Fr Denis D'Sa in his presidential address added a special touch to the celebration by singing a beautiful song dedicated to the grandparents and children.

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dihaan and Prisha. An energetic Zumba performance by the teachers and grandparents added sparkle to the programme. Fun-filled games for the grandparents were conducted by Ms. Renita D’Almeida and Ms. Reema, creating moments of laughter and enjoyment. The programme was compered by Ms. Rajashree Nayak. The event concluded on a joyful note, leaving the grandparents and grandchildren with cherished memories of a special day filled with love, laughter and togetherness.
