25th Kargil Vijay Diwas

The celebration of 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas was organized by 72 JD Troop 6-Karnataka NCC Naval Unit of the school on July 26, 2024 in honor of the heroes of the Kargil War.

The formal program commenced with a prayer song sung by NCC cadets. Cdt Disha Anil extended the words of welcome.Senior Cadet Captain Petty Officer Cdt Purvi S Kotian spoke on the historical significance of Kargil war by highlighting the selfless sacrifices made by the martyrs of Indian Army. The dignitaries on the stage offered floral tribute to the martyrs of Kargil war commemorating the exemplary spirit of patriotism modelled by the brave soldiers of India. Patriotic fervor enthralled the atmosphere as the cadets sang the soul filled songs of national pride. Chief Guests of the program Ex Flight Officer Dr Naveen Amanna and Ex Junior Warrant Officer Manjunath Padithaya were felicitated for their valorous service to the nation during the historical Kargil war. Ex FO Dr Naveen Amanna in his address urged the students to be the responsible citizens of the nation by manifesting more credibility in their thoughts and actions.

NCC 'A' certificates were awarded to the eligible cadets of 72 JD Troop. Correspondent V. Rev. Fr Charles Menezes in his Presidential address gratefully remembered the brave acts of Indian soldiers during Kargil war and stressed the need of safeguarding the hard earned freedom by upholding the spirit of patriotism.

Principal Rev. Fr Vijay Joyson D'Souza and Vice Principal Ms Rita Quadros graced the ocassion. Assistant Navy Officer Mr Lancy Mendonca coordinated the program and shared the stage with the dignitaries. In a gesture of deep appreciation Cdt Adhish proposed the vote of thanks. The celebration was proficiently compered by Cdt Lishika.
