The Valedictory Program of the Social Science Week

The Valedictory Program of the Social Science Week celebration was held on August 7, 2026 in St. Mary's Auditorium. The Chief Guest, Mr. Gabriel Franky Mascarenhas, Headmaster of Dandathirtha English Medium School, Kapu, was felicitated for his remarkable achievements in the field of education. Addressing the students, he emphasized the role of Social Science in shaping the character and value system of students. The Principal, Rev. Fr. Vijay Joyson D'Souza, in his Presidential Address, highlighted the role of Social Science in developing responsible and aware citizens. The best performers in the various activities conducted were appreciated. The activities included Puzzle Solving, Presentation of the Preamble of the Constitution, Creating a Landform Booklet, Thematic Map Making, Chart Making and Best out of Waste.

The cultural program featured an action song and a presentation of the traditional attire of various states of India followed by a patriotic song presentation. The program was compered by Leron Mathias of Grade 9. The program concluded with the National Anthem. The celebration provided students with an enriching opportunity to learn, participate, and appreciate the significance of Social Science.
