St Mary’s Stars Day

St Mary’s Stars Day –Alumni Meet, an event of School’s Ruby Jubilee was held on October 29, 2023 at St Mary’s Auditorium. The objective of the Meet was to knit together the alumni of the school under one roof to strengthen their bond with the Alma meter. The formal program commenced with a prayer song presented by teachers’ choir. Principal Rev.Fr Johnson Sequeira in his welcome note appealed the alumni to be the ambassadors of school’s vision, culture and value system. The Alumni Meet was symbolically inaugurated by rising a value chart towards the model of a Globe symbolizing the value system of the school inculcating global citizenship traits among the students. The outstanding alumni achievers of the school Mr Yathish Karkera, CA Prithish D'Sa, Dr Megha Pai, Mr Karthik Shetty and Dr Sheehan D'Souza were felicitated on this occasion for bringing glory to the Alma Mater through their remarkable contributions to society. The Executive Committee members of school’s Alumni Association were also felicitated for extending valuable support in organizing the meet. The Ruby Jubilee anthem composed by former Correspondent V.Rev.Fr Valerian Mendonca was sung by teachers’ choir. Correspondent V.Rev.Charles Menezes in his Presidential address said that the alumni should always keep themselves connected with the roots of the school family as they have great potential to make their Alma mater resourceful. The students’ dance troupe presented a contemporary dance performance depicting the significant role of teachers and parents in the system of education.

Variety of fun games were conducted by Mr Walter D'Souza, Mr Lancy Mendonca and Ms Rajashree to entertain the Alumni. Mr Maxim D’Souza and Col. Dr. Arthur Rodrigues respectively the Vice President and the Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council, Mother of Sorrows church, Udupi graced the occasion.The Meet was coordinated by Vice Principal Ms Rita Quadros.
